Contract Specialist- Independent Contractor job at NEW BRUNSWICK POWER CORP. New Brunswick.
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
The Contract Administrator acts is responsible for the development and administration of contracts for procurement of goods and services in support of project activities. The Contract Administrator will support the project managers in developing the contract strategy for projects and ensure appropriate administration of contract requirements throughout the contract
duration. The Contract Administrator will work with the supply chain organization
to ensure the effective procurement of materials and services.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Managing the timeline for document processing and procurement activities to ensure alignment with the project schedule requirements.
- Reviewing terms and conditions within tender templates for alignment with the technical requirements of the work.
- Coordinating, chairing and recording notes of project meetings with the contractor(s) including site investigation meetings, pre-award meetings, kickoff meetings, regular project meetings
and dispute resolution meetings.
Preparing month-end accruals for contractor work and submitting to Cost Control.
- Reviewing contractor invoices in cooperation with project staff.
- Participating in the selection of procurement methods, evaluating tender submissions, preparing recommendation to reward and structuring purchase orders.
- Assists in the preparation of tender/bid documents.
- Prepares summary list of Contractor and Owner obligations under the contract.
- Contract correspondence.
- Contractor claims.
- Performs contract change management.
- Administers Field Change Authorization process.
- Responsible for contract closeout processes including holdback and certificates of completion.
