Job Responsibility:
The New Brunswick Non-Profit Housing Association (NBNPHA) represents 170 organizations that own and operate 6,500 affordable non-profit and co-op housing units throughout the province. The NBNPHA provides housing advocacy, management, development support, research, policy development, as well as administration, communication, networking, and member support programs.
The non-profit and co-op housing sector is experiencing a substantial transformation as the demand for more affordable housing is increasing in New Brunswick. Development, governance, and operational capacity throughout the sector are top priorities.
NBNPHA is seeking two Member Services Manager to support and help lead the development of succession and sustainability plans for members and the sector in general. One Member Services Manager will serve Northern New Brunswick, and one will serve Southern New Brunswick.
Responsibilities
- Work with NBNPHA members throughout the province to gather governance, operational, and financial information for the purpose of developing organization-specific and sector-wide succession and sustainability plans.
- Contribute to NBNPHA member communications including newsletters, bulletins, workshops, regional meetings, and the annual conference.
- Work with third party stakeholders such as Housing NB and CMHC towards implementing succession and sustainability plans for the sector.
- Support member's succession and sustainability planning progress.
Qualifications
- Passionate about affordable housing.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Based anywhere in New Brunswick and able to work remotely.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset.
- University degree in a related field.
- Valid driver's license and able travel throughout the province as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
