Job Title: Laboratory Technician(Molecular biologist)

Location: Johnston, IA 50131

Duration: 8 Months contract

Work shift 7:00AM - 4:00PM, M-F

This will be a shared role between two production labs. The first position will be June-August (7am Start Time) and the second position will be September-December.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute PCR/qPCR reactions by combining assay mixes, controls, and sample DNA according to SOPs, exercising independent judgment where appropriate.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment and related lab systems in accordance with SOPs
• Maintain and organize oligo, reagent, and control inventories, ensuring outdated materials are removed, replenishments are available, and production demand thresholds are met.
• Perform routine lab support tasks including consumable management, restocking, cleaning, and general maintenance to sustain production readiness.
