Software Engineer- Power BI

As the accountable individual for managing, enhancing, and running the day-to-day operations of BI data visualization and reporting capabilities of Singtel Data Platform, your responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of data visualization and reporting capabilities
• Ensuring stability, availability, and continuity of data visualization and reporting capabilities
• Participating in requirement gathering and analysis of reporting solutions
• Designing and developing reports and dashboards in accordance with prevailing design guidelines and user requirements
• Driving SIT, UAT, and performance testing of reports and dashboards as per agreed test scenarios and test cases
• Preparing design documents, mapping documents, and other relevant documents as needed
• Driving and supporting continuous improvement and optimization activities in the BI platform to ensure they remain relevant, scalable, and operational
• Maintaining and enhancing reporting framework and capabilities
• Adhering to security, regulatory, and audit control guidelines
• Participating in optimization and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in design and development of reports and dashboards in a Business Intelligence setting
• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and data modeling
• Experience in creating mock-ups and prototyping
• Experience in data preparation and storytelling with data
• Experience in analyzing business requirements, design and development, testing, and production deployment of reports and dashboards
• Exposure in performance fine-tuning of queries, reports, and dashboards
• Experience in Power BI administration tasks and security control
• Understanding and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
• Experience in Cognos or Tableau
