At NCN, we are gearing up to launch a major new initiative to hear directly from communities across the country about what the nonprofit sector needs to continue championing the public good. We are seeking a Community Engagement and Data Coordinator to join our collective efforts to create a connected and powerful nonprofit community through this initiative and all our work at NCN.
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Knowledge, Impact, and Strategy, the Community Engagement and Data Coordinator will help the Knowledge, Impact, and Strategy team organize relevant trainings for NCN network members, assist our network with organizing community events across the country, collect data, analyze the data in collaboration with working groups, and assist with sharing out national, state, and local priorities for the nonprofit sector.

You Are:
- Passionate about the work of nonprofits and those they serve.
- A community-based participatory researcher with a community engagement background or a community engagement specialist with a strong background in research.
Essential Details:
- Term: This is a salaried, exempt position with an intended duration of two years.
- Compensation: Salary range of $90,000 - $115,000 plus the generous benefits described below. This is a salaried, exempt position.

- Location: Our office is in Washington, D.C. We prefer that this candidate based in D.C., but we will consider a remote position for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do:
NETWORK ENGAGEMENT & CAPACITY BUILDING
- Coordinate network engagement and capacity building tasks related to a new national initiative.
- Coordinate organization-based and community-based events across the country.
- Act as the point-of-contact for questions from the NCN network about the initiative and process.
- Plan a 2.5 day in-person training to be held in August.
- Plan and host ongoing trainings.
- Facilitate ongoing dialogue between training recipients.
- Write relevant toolkits for the NCN network.
- Provide case-by-case support, including technological support, materials and supplies, to event hosts across the country.
RESEARCH & EVALUATION
- Write data collection guides and toolkits for the NCN network.
- Coordinate and conduct data collection trainings for NCN network members.
- Assist with data collection for a new national initiative.
- Assist with the design and maintenance of a new data dashboard.
- Coordinate calls for internal learning and evaluation purposes.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Coordinate and facilitate data analysis working groups.
- Write reports based on data analysis.

- At least 3 years of work experience.
- Experience with both community engagement and research is required.
- Experience working with networks, associations, or similar structures highly desired.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially writing and listening, with great attention to detail.
- Natural and unqualified commitment to earning, maintaining, and building trust with people within and outside the organization.
- Commitment to equity as a personal and professional value.

For this position, the salary range is $90,000-$115,000 commensurate with experience.
