Job Description
Investigative Post, a nonprofit investigative reporting center in Buffalo, N.Y., is looking for an experienced reporter to join our award-winning team. You'll get the time you need to dig into issues using all of the tools of a modern reporter: You'll be on the street, digging into documents and analyzing data.
You don't have to be an investigative reporter to apply. We're looking for an experienced reporter with excellent writing skills who has done stories that hold institutions accountable, whether it's as a beat or general assignment reporter.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years reporting experience; is dedicated to building sources and digging for stories that others have missed; and can bring an investigative lens to the many problems facing Buffalo. Data, video and social media skills are a plus.
We're committed to diversity and building a team that reflects our city, and we welcome reporters from all backgrounds and ages. We encourage people from underrepresented communities, including people of color, LGBTQ+ and people with disabilities, to apply.
