About the Role

At My Mutual, our underwriting team plays an important role in protecting our policyholders and supporting the strength of our mutual community. We put people first while ensuring risks are assessed thoughtfully, coverage is clear, and brokers receive responsive, dependable service.

We are seeking an Underwriter who combines attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong communication skills to support underwriting decisions and build positive relationships. Working closely with internal teams and broker partners, this role involves reviewing information, evaluating exposures, and supporting clear, accurate policy documentation.

This hybrid role is based in Saskatchewan, with the opportunity to work from our office and remotely. In-person attendance is required for training and team collaboration. This opportunity is suited for both developing and experienced underwriters, with responsibilities and compensation aligned to experience.

What You’ll Do

• Collect and review information to assess insurance risks
• Evaluate exposures and support underwriting decisions
• Calculate premiums and assist with policy wordings
• Provide responsive and professional service to brokers and clients
• Maintain accurate and well-documented files
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and quality in underwriting practices

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in underwriting or the insurance industry is preferred
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and stay organized
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn

A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, or progress toward it, is considered an asset.

Candidates must reside within Saskatchewan.
