About Music & Art
Music & Arts celebrates creativity and music by encouraging our team to develop their unique sound. We aim to cultivate lifelong musicians and make a positive impact by allowing musicians and enthusiasts to experience the joy of playing an instrument. We prioritize our customers, treat everyone with respect and integrity, and pursue our mission with enthusiasm.
Music & Arts started in a small house and was founded by Benjamin O'Brien. Established in 1952, the business initially offered printed music, music lessons, dance lessons, and art supplies. Soon, Ben chose to emphasize music to better fulfill customer needs, a focus we maintain today.
Since the 1990s, Music & Arts has grown significantly through organic development and acquisitions of other music retailers. In 2005, Music & Arts joined American Music, creating the largest band and orchestra instrument retailer in the nation.
Music & Arts is now part of the Guitar Center enterprise and encompasses over 225 retail stores, over 200 educational representatives, and more than 250 affiliate locations.
Why Choose Music & Arts? Some of Our Benefits:
For musicians, we provide a special perk: gig leave—take time to perform globally and return to your position! Music & Arts also offers substantial benefits and perks, including a 401K with company match, employee discount program, and more.
