Crossing Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Crossing Guard to assist students and pedestrians at designated crosswalks at Keppel-Sarawak Elementary School. This role involves ensuring safe street crossings during school arrival and dismissal times while maintaining a visible and positive presence in the community. This is a paid, part-time position ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and supporting public safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students, parents, and pedestrians in crossing streets at designated crosswalks
• Monitor traffic flow and communicate clearly with drivers and pedestrians
• Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations at all times
• Maintain a visible presence during assigned shifts to promote safety
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors
• Promote safe crossing habits and awareness within the community

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay alert, attentive, and calm in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Comfortable working outdoors and standing for extended periods
• Previous experience in customer service, security, or similar roles is an asset but not required

Schedule - Immediate start required.

• Monday to Friday (School Days)
• Morning: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
