MS2 Entertainment is a creative production and post-production company specializing in films, documentaries, television, branded content, digital storytelling, and visual experiences. We are seeking a visionary and passionate Filmmaker / Documentary Director who can conceptualize, direct, and execute compelling stories with strong visual narratives and factual storytelling.

Job Summary:-

The Filmmaker / Documentary Director will be responsible for developing documentary concepts, directing shoots, leading creative storytelling, and overseeing projects from development to final delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong storytelling instincts, visual direction skills, research orientation, and the ability to manage creative and production teams while delivering impactful content.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Conceptualize, develop, and direct documentary films, factual storytelling content, and visual narratives.
• Research subjects, identify compelling stories, and shape narrative structures for documentaries and films.
• Collaborate with writers, researchers, producers, cinematographers, editors, and post-production teams to ensure strong storytelling execution.
• Lead creative vision across pre-production, production, and post-production stages.
• Direct shoots, interviews, recreations, and on-location filming while maintaining narrative consistency and production quality.
• Develop treatment notes, shot breakdowns, interview structures, scripts, and storytelling frameworks.
• Work closely with editors to shape story flow, pacing, narration, and final visual output.
• Manage documentary storytelling while balancing factual accuracy, emotional engagement, and cinematic quality.
• Coordinate with production teams for scheduling, locations, logistics, crew requirements, and shoot planning.
• Ensure timely project execution while maintaining creative excellence and production standards.
• Stay updated with global documentary trends, storytelling techniques, cinematic language, and audience preferences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field (preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in filmmaking, documentary direction, creative direction, or factual storytelling.
• Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating documentary, film, or visual storytelling work.
• Excellent understanding of documentary storytelling, cinematic language, screenplay structure, interviews, and narrative development.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.
• Understanding of camera language, shot composition, lighting, sound, production workflows, and editing processes.
• Experience working with directors, production crews, editors, and post-production teams.
• Ability to travel and work in dynamic shooting environments.

Preferred Qualities:-

• Experience in historical, investigative, social impact, travel, human-interest, wildlife, corporate, or factual entertainment documentaries.
• Strong storytelling and interviewing abilities.
• Creative problem-solving mindset with high adaptability during shoots.
• Knowledge of editing workflows and post-production storytelling.
• Passion for real-world stories and cinematic storytelling.

Pay: ₹19,149.59 - ₹113,316.85 per month

Work Location: Remote
