Job Description
Job Summary
The NOC Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the network, servers, and IT infrastructure. This role involves responding to incidents, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the optimal performance of the IT Infrastructure. The NOC Engineer will work in a team-oriented environment and provide support for various technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor network performance and server health using various tools and dashboards.
- Detect, diagnose, and resolve IT infrastructure issues promptly.
- Daily checks need to be done as part of NOC responsibilities.
- Incident Response:
- Respond to Server incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalations as needed as Per SLA.
- Perform the Outage management and document it.
- Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in incident tracking systems.
- Maintenance and Upgrades:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, patch management, and backups.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and expansions.
- Troubleshooting:
- Analyse and resolve issues related to Server, VMware and Citrix problems, Backups and service related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and DC to troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation of Projects, processes, and procedures.
- Create and update technical manuals, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Customer Support:
- Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and customers.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Performance Optimization:
- Analyse server/network performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement solutions to optimize Servers performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Diploma in Computer Science and IT.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in NOC operations, system administration, VMware administration, Citrix Administration, Red hat Linux, Networking, O365 administration, MSSQL , DC management, Azure or AWS related role.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Logic Monitor, Zabbix & PRTG).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment with rotating shifts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Work Environment
- This position typically operates from office.
- 24/7 rotational shifts
Certification
- Holding vendor accreditations (Microsoft / VMware / Veeam / Citrix / ITIL) is preferable.
