Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in managing hybrid environments across Windows and Linux platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and modernizing infrastructure systems in a production environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• 410 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering roles
• Experience working in polyglot production environments, including:
• Windows Server-based workloads (IIS, SQL Server, legacy .NET Framework applications)
• Linux-based workloads (containers, automation, integration platforms)

Technical Expertise

Cloud & Networking

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (VM-centric & hybrid environments)
• Strong knowledge of:
• VNets, subnets, routing
• NSGs, NAT Gateways, Public IPs
• VPN Gateways (P2S & S2S)
• Private DNS zones & internal name resolution

Windows & Web Hosting

• Expertise in Windows Server & IIS:
• Application hosting
• App pools, bindings
• TLS configuration
• URL Rewrite
• Troubleshooting

Database Management

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server:
• Indexing & performance tuning
• Disk layout & host caching
• Backup & restore
• Maintenance plans

Linux & Containers

• Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems
• Supporting containerized applications using Docker on Linux VMs

Automation & Scripting

• Proficiency in:
• Azure CLI
• PowerShell
• Bash
• Python

Core Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot infrastructure across cloud, OS, and network layers
• Support and maintain distributed systems and task platforms
• Enforce infrastructure security best practices
• Monitor system performance and maintain alerting systems
• Handle and resolve infrastructure-related tickets
• Perform root cause analysis and incident management
• Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams

Operational Expectations

• Ability to work independently during on-call shifts across global time zones
• Strong incident response and troubleshooting skills
• Clear communication for incident updates and documentation
• Ability to work under pressure in production environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (on-premise)
• Exposure to legacy .NET Framework applications
• Experience with distributed task/job processing systems
• Familiarity with AI/ML-related platforms (search, ingestion, pipelines)
• Knowledge of compliance standards like ISO 27001
