Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Testing: Collect and analyze raw milk, processed milk, yogurt, butter, and cheese samples.
- Quality Control: Perform MBRT (Methylene Blue Reduction Test), COB (Clot on Boiling), and acidity tests.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols (HACCP), maintain cleanliness, and calibrate lab equipment.
- Documentation: Record testing data, maintain laboratory logs, and manage inventory.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor for quality degradation during processing and advise on necessary adjustments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Typically a Diploma in Dairy Technology, BSc in Chemistry/Microbiology, or DMLT.
- Experience: Previous experience in a dairy/food processing laboratory, specifically milk chilling centers, is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in using laboratory instruments (e.g., Lactometer, Gerber Centrifuge).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in shifts.
