Job Description
In this role at MKS MSD, you will be a Chemist in the Analytical Chemistry department responsible for supporting product development and associated activities. You will report to the Associate Manager Analytical Chemistry R&D in Manesar Gurgaon. Your main responsibilities will include carrying out various analytical activities related to product development, testing, qualification, troubleshooting, and process optimization under technical guidance. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from your team, associates, managers, and other cross-functional departments. Effective communication with the team is crucial in this role. Your innovative ideas and approaches will be key to successfully executing tasks and duties. Additionally, you may provide support to customers through routine chemical analysis, troubleshooting, process optimization, site visits, and on-site troubleshooting while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical investigations as per requests
- Identify, qualify, and quantify organic additives and inorganic ions
- Conduct calibrations and maintain calibration records, logbooks, and analytical reports
- Manage instruments in SAP-PM
- Collaborate with other teams in a laboratory setting
- Demonstrate self-motivation and proactive actions to maintain the work culture and ensure task completion
- Adhere to HSE rules and conduct laboratory experiments following ISO SOP and WW analytical guidelines
- Develop new methods, validate and verify them, and oversee quality and process controls within the assigned scope
- Partner with R&D teams in product and process development using analytical techniques
Qualifications
- MSc in Chemistry with at least one year of experience
- Ability to analyze chemical compounds and ions, drawing accurate conclusions
- Quick adaptability and understanding of project tasks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, out-of-the-box thinking, self-accountability, and a strong sense of ownership
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, and 17025)
- Experience in handling analytical instruments like UV, GC, HPLC, LCMS, FTIR, titrator, etc.
