Join our global team and see what makes Mitratech a truly exceptional place to work!</p> <p><strong>Job Overview&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Sr. Linux &amp; Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator</strong> to support a <strong>production application</strong> hosted on <strong>OCI</strong>. The role focuses on Oracle Linux administration, OCI networking and security, Terraform-based automation, and operational support for SFTP and mail services.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and support <strong>Oracle Linux</strong> systems (patching, tuning, troubleshooting)</li> <li>Manage <strong>OCI resources</strong>: compute, VCNs, subnets, routing, load balancers</li> <li>Configure and maintain <strong>OCI security</strong> (IAM, NSGs, security lists, compartments)</li> <li>Design and troubleshoot <strong>OCI networking</strong> and connectivity issues</li> <li>Provision and manage infrastructure using <strong>Terraform (IaC)</strong></li> <li>Support <strong>SFTP and mail services</strong> (secure access, monitoring, troubleshooting)</li> <li>Perform system monitoring, backup coordination, and DR support</li> <li>Participate in <strong>production support</strong>, incidents, and on-call rotations</li> <li>Maintain operational documentation and runbooks</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements &amp; Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>7+ years</strong> professional experience administering <strong>Linux</strong> in production (preferably <strong>Oracle Linux</strong> or closely related RHEL).</li> <li>Strong Hands-on experience with&nbsp;<strong>OCI administration</strong> (compute, networking, IAM, security)</li> <li>Experience supporting <strong>Oracle WebLogic Server</strong></li> <li>Working knowledge of <strong>Oracle Database</strong> environments</li> <li><strong>IaC &amp; Automation:</strong> Deep proficiency with <strong>Terraform</strong> (modules, workspaces, remote state, testing) and <strong>Ansible</strong> (roles, collections, idempotency, vault).</li> <li><strong>Systems Expertise:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Kernel, systemd, SELinux/AppArmor, LVM/filesystems (xfs/ext4/btrfs), iSCSI/NFS, SSH/hardening.</li> <li>Package and patch management (yum/dnf, repo mirrors, Ksplice), vulnerability management, and baseline hardening (CIS/STIG).</li> </ul> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>Networking Fundamentals:</strong> TCP/IP, routing, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, proxies, firewalls/security groups, PKI/certificates (TLS).</li> <li><strong>Scripting:</strong> Proficiency in <strong>Bash</strong></li> <li>Experience with <strong>SFTP and SMTP/mail services</strong></li> <li><strong>Deployment Experience:</strong> Comfortable with both <strong>modern (immutable, pipelines, containers)</strong> and <strong>older practices (in‑place upgrades, change windows, maintenance runbooks)</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Troubleshooting:</strong> Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents across OS, network, and platform layers.</li> <li><strong>Documentation &amp; Communication:</strong> Clear written/verbal communication; ability to author design docs, runbooks, and RFCs.</li> </ul> <h3>Nice to Have (Preferred)</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Certifications:</strong> Oracle Linux, <strong>OCI Architect Professional/Associate</strong>, RHCSA/RHCE (or equivalents), Terraform Associate, Ansible Automation.</li> <li><strong>Tooling:</strong> Packer, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps/Jenkins, HashiCorp Vault, OCI Bastion/Cloud Guard, Security Zones.</li> <li><strong>Containers &amp; Orchestration:</strong> Docker, Kubernetes, admission controls, image signing, and runtime policies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>OCI certifications</li> <li>Experience with monitoring tools and CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>High availability and disaster recovery experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Ability to work in <strong>production-critical environments</strong></li> <li>Good communication and documentation skills</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>&nbsp;<strong style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; font-family: Satoshi, 'Satoshi Fallback'; border: 0px; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: baseline; overflow-wrap: break-word; color: var(--n800); font-style: normal; letter-spacing: normal; text-align: start; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal;"><em style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; font-family: var(--font-family,'sans-serif'); border: 0px; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: baseline; overflow-wrap: break-word;">Mitratech is an equal-opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
