A bit about our company...

We’re a 45 year old, family-owned and operated business that is established and growing. We're located near Toronto Pearson Airport. We do dock-to-dock, same day deliveries across the GTA with our trucks.

Our drivers load and unload their cargo and deliver skidded freight throughout the day, while providing great customer service. Our drivers are very busy throughout the week and have the benefit of after hours work, if desired. We have a fleet of DZ Trucks and have rencently expanded into tractor trailers.

NOW HIRING: Full-time AZ commercial truck driver wanted. Must have COMMERCIAL AZ licence with at least 3 years of verifiable, AZ commercial truck driving experience locally.

VERIFIABLE (WITH REFERENCES), COMMERCIAL (AZ) TRUCK DRIVING EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY FOR CONSIDERATION. ALL APPLICANTS MUST ALREADY LIVE IN THE GREATER TORONTO AREA, HAVE LEGAL WORKING STATUS IN CANADA AND HAVE AN AZ LICENCE AND EXPERIENCE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THIS DRIVER WILL MOSTLY DRIVE AZ TRUCKS AND OCCASONALLY DRIVE DZ TRUCKS.

THIS POSITION PAYS ON PAYROLL ONLY (NOT CORPORATION). Driver will drive mostly a tractor trailer and may occasionally drive a DZ truck.

Office/Yard Location: Etobicoke, Ontario

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (approximately 7:30am – approximately 5pm/6pm)

Some after hours deliveries will be required outside of these days/hours based on customer demand. Approximately 45 - 50hrs of work per week.

Job Description

• Safely operate a 53' automatic tractor trailer making short-haul deliveries of air freight (large skids) within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) while providing great customer service.
• Load/unload and inspect cargo as required and ensure safety and security of all cargo (use of manual pump truck required).
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher over 2-way radio/cellphone.
• Exhibit highest level of professionalism in all client interactions while providing outstanding customer service.
• Accurately perform daily pre-trip, en route and post-trip vehicle inspection reports and complete driver logbook.
• Oversee ongoing condition of vehicle and monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
• Flexibility to drive throughout the entire GTA, sometimes in downtown Toronto and sometimes a bit further (all sameday runs).

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of general, local driving experience with Full G license and a minimum of 2+ years experience driving AZ commercial trucks in Ontario with an AZ licence. All experience must be verifiable and candidates must have recent references. Must be a minimum of 25 yrs old to meet insurance requirements.
• AZ commercial license.
• Hardworking, flexible, common sense, “can-do” attitude and superior customer service skills.
• Excellent attendance record and strong work ethic.
• Follow specific and detailed instructions with accuracy and precision.
• Clean criminal background/police check, clean driver’s abstract, CVOR and verifiable references are required.
• Observe safe driving practices, professional business-oriented attitude and act cool under pressure.
• Must be physically fit to perform all job duties, be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to push and pull a pump truck throughout the day and use a tailgate at times, when loading/unloading freight.
