Job Description
Company Description
Mindful Connections Therapy is a growing relational private practice in North York, Toronto (Leslie & Sheppard), offering in-person and virtual therapy across Ontario.
Our work is rooted first and foremost in a relational, emotionally attuned, and person-centered approach to therapy. We value authentic therapeutic connection and believe that feeling deeply understood can create meaningful change. Our practice is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatically aware, with a clinical focus on trauma, ADHD, MVA recovery, and brain injury. We value collaborative, client-centered care that honors each person’s pace, nervous system, and lived experience.
Role Overview
- Provide psychotherapy to clients navigating trauma, ADHD, motor vehicle accident (MVA) recovery, brain injury, and related mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and relationship difficulties.
- Work with individuals, couples, adolescents, families, and children depending on your clinical interests and experience.
- Clinicians may draw from modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, EFT, somatic, and attachment-based approaches depending on client needs and clinician training.
- Develop trauma-informed, individualized treatment plans that honor each client’s pace, nervous system, and lived experience.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with CRPO standards and PHIPA requirements.
- Communicate with families, insurers, and referring professionals as clinically appropriate.
- Manage your own schedule and caseload with flexibility and autonomy.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (RP-Q) in good standing with CRPO.
- Experience with trauma, ADHD, MVA recovery, and/or brain injury — individual, couples, family, children, and adolescent experience all welcome.
- EMDR and/or IFS training is a strong asset
— but not required. Genuine interest in pursuing these modalities is equally welcome.
- Trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and somatic-sensitive approach to care.
- Comfortable working independently in a small, warm practice environment.
- Reliable, ethical, and genuinely invested in your clients’ growth.
What We Offer
- Annual training reimbursement of $1,000
— put toward IFS Level 1, EMDR basic training, or other approved professional development.
- Flexible contract arrangement — work the hours that fit your life.
- Intake coordination and administrative support so you can focus on clinical work.
- Jane App for seamless booking, scheduling, and client management.
- Secure Google Workspace email for professional client communication.
- Optional AI-assisted documentation support available to help reduce administrative burden.
- Marketing support to help you build your caseload.
- A practice culture that genuinely values therapists' well-being and sustainable caseloads.
- A meaningful clinical niche in MVA, brain injury, trauma, and ADHD — work that truly matters.
