MEMS Environmental Scientist Calgary

Join MEMS in Calgary or Sherwood Park as an Environmental Scientist. You'll assess reclamation projects and conduct Detailed Site Assessments in compliance with Alberta and BC regulations, balancing office and field work. As part of the MEMS Reclamation & Construction team, this role emphasizes your expertise in environmental science and reclamation processes.

You will engage in site assessments, manage reclamation projects, and write technical reports tailored to client needs. This position offers a blend of roughly 30% office time and 70% fieldwork, requiring both technical knowledge and effective communication skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement field programs and site assessments
• Develop draft work plans and cost estimates
• Supervise contractors for remediation and reclamation projects
• Compile and interpret field data and lab results
• Mentor staff on field execution and reporting Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in reclamation or soil science
• Over two years relevant experience in oil and gas
• Knowledge of 2010 Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines
• Valid Class 5 Drivers license required
