Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Laboratory Executive to perform testing, analysis, and certification processes for gold and precious metal products. The candidate will ensure accurate purity assessment, maintain laboratory standards, and support quality assurance activities in compliance with industry and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct gold purity testing using methods such as:

· XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence)

· Fire Assay

· Density Testing

· Touchstone Testing

· Verify and certify gold samples according to laboratory standards.

· Prepare and maintain testing reports and certification records.

· Handle sample collection, labeling, and documentation accurately.

· Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

· Ensure calibration and periodic maintenance of testing instruments.

· Follow safety, hygiene, and quality control procedures.

· Assist auditors and inspectors during quality checks.

· Coordinate with jewellers, customers, and internal departments regarding test results.

· Maintain confidentiality and integrity of laboratory data.

· Monitor inventory of chemicals, consumables, and testing materials.

Required Skills

· Knowledge of gold testing and hallmarking procedures.

· Familiarity with BIS hallmarking standards preferred.

· Basic understanding of laboratory quality systems.

· Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

· Good documentation and reporting skills.

· Ability to operate laboratory instruments independently.

· Computer proficiency in MS Excel and reporting software.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification

· B.Sc. in Chemistry

· Diploma or certification in jewellery testing or assaying is an advantage.

Experience

· 1–2 years of experience in gold testing, hallmarking, jewellery laboratory, or precious metal certification.

· Freshers with relevant technical training may also apply.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
