Role & responsibilities

Develop and Execute Demand Planning Strategies:

Formulate and implement demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demands.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand market dynamics, product trends, and sales patterns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Sales, and Supply Chain, to gather relevant data and insights for accurate demand forecasting.

Facilitate regular communication and collaboration to align demand planning strategies with overall business objectives.

Utilize Forecasting Tools and Systems:

Effectively use forecasting tools and systems to analyze historical data, market trends, and promotional activities.

Generate accurate demand forecasts to support inventory planning and procurement decisions.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product availability.

Proactively identify opportunities to minimize excess stock and optimize inventory turnover.

Collaboration with Merchandising Team:

Work closely with the Merchandising team to understand product lifecycles and make informed decisions on inventory management.

Provide insights into product performance and recommend adjustments to inventory strategies.

Demand Planning Meetings:

Conduct regular demand planning meetings to review forecasts, address issues, and align strategies with business goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve forecast accuracy and adapt to changing market conditions.

Process Improvements and Best Practices:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in demand planning and implement best practices.

Streamline workflows and enhance efficiency within the demand planning function.

Industry Awareness and Proactive Adjustments:

Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities.
