Senior Security Engineer

Position Summary
The Senior Security Engineer leads cybersecurity engineering and architecture activities supporting federal systems. This role focuses on secure system design, implementation of NIST security controls, and supporting RMF authorization activities across hybrid cloud and onprem environments.
Key Responsibilities
" Design and implement secure system architectures
" Implement and review NIST SP 800 53 security controls
" Lead development of RMF artifacts (SSP, SAR, SAP, POA&M)
" Provide technical leadership for incident response investigations
" Implement Zero Trust and secure cloud architectures
" Mentor junior engineers and review security implementations
Required Qualifications
" 8+ years cybersecurity engineering experience
" Experience with federal security frameworks (RMF, NIST, FISMA)
" Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Preferred Certifications
CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, AWS/Azure Security certifications
