Backend Developer (node.js & Databases)

Location: Remote Experience Required: Minimum 1 year Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and backend technologies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable REST APIs, working with both Postgre SQL and Mongo DB, and a good understanding of distributed systems, queues, and Dev Ops practices.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs using Node.js and Express. Work with Postgre SQL and Mongo DB for data modeling, queries, and optimization. Implement caching, session management, and performance improvements using Redis.

Work with queues/message brokers for asynchronous task execution. Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of backend services. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.

Contribute to Dev Ops activities, including deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Requirements: 1+ years of professional experience as a backend developer. Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js. Hands-on experience with Postgre SQL and Mongo DB databases. Knowledge of REST API development and integration.

Familiarity with Redis and queue systems (e.g., Bull, Rabbit MQ, or similar). Basic understanding of Dev Ops practices (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud deployment, monitoring tools). Good understanding of Git and version control workflows.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Good to Have: Experience with microservices architecture. Exposure to Graph QL. Hands-on experience with AWS / GCP / Azure. Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
