Position: Laboratory Operations Specialist

Type: Contract

Compensation: $105/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Implement practical solutions for equipment procurement and facility setup.
• Understand and apply containment protocols in daily lab operations.
• Ensure smooth operation of labs through effective procurement channels.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain high standards of lab safety and efficiency.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Experience working in BSL-2 or higher facility.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, procurement channels, and containment protocols.
• U.S. person currently located in a Five Eyes country.

Preferred

• Biosafety officer certification or training (e.g., ABSA credentials).
• Hands-on procurement and supply chain experience for lab consumables and equipment.
• Understanding of biosafety failure modes and incident response.
• Experience with institutional biosafety committees (IBC) or regulatory compliance.
