Primary Duties

• Performs all forms of ultrasound imaging andassistsin interventional proceduresonadult and pediatric patients. Explains procedures, screens, prepares, andpositionspatients for examinations.
• Prepares equipment, selectsappropriatetransducer and ensures that the necessary supply items are available for each examination. Performs examinations according to department protocols and adjusts equipment appropriately to ensure satisfactory images.
• Performs image photography and film processing. Reviews and evaluates completed examinations for quality and completeness. Performs and/orutilizesknowledge of physical assessments (i.e., blood pressure, pulse, respiration), intravenous care, and aseptic techniques.
• Responsible for proper use of MARS information system to perform verification of all examinations performed. Ensures that supply levels are adequate inassignedarea. Communicates withappropriate individualwhen thedepartmentinventory has been or is approaching depletion.
• Assistswith the training and orientation of new employees and students.

Qualifications

• Associatedegree or1-3years formal training in ultrasonography.
• 1-2 years progressively more responsible job-related experience.
• At least one registration from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

This position has a hiring range of : USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.Required
