Role Description The Part-Time Therapist LCSW / LMSW will provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples, and families within an integrated care environment. This hybrid role is based in Silver Spring, MD, with a mix of on-site sessions and some work-from-home responsibilities for documentation, care coordination, and telehealth visits as appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-informed psychotherapy. The therapist will coordinate case management activities, collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, and connect clients with community resources and support services. Additional responsibilities include maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, participating in case consultations and quality improvement activities, and supporting population health and care management initiatives aligned with Medicalincs’ programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in good standing in the state of Maryland (or eligibility for licensure within a defined timeframe).
• Strong foundation in Social Work and Psychology, including biopsychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and strengths-based, person-centered care.
• Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health treatment, including assessment, diagnosis (within scope), and evidence-informed interventions for a range of behavioral health conditions.
• Experience with Case Management, including care coordination, resource linkage, advocacy, and follow-up across healthcare and community settings.
• Skills in Family Therapy, with the ability to engage multiple family members, support healthy communication, and address relational dynamics impacting client well-being.
• Experience working in outpatient, integrated care, or community mental health settings preferred, especially with diverse and underserved populations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, including proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
• Ability to work independently, manage a part-time caseload, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a hybrid (on-site and remote) environment.
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program required; additional training in trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based modalities is a plus.
