Overview
Maximus is seeking a Network Administrator to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission‑critical systems in defense of our Homeland. The role is on‑site, five days a week, and requires a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using firewall logs and switch packet capture tools; engage with cross‑functional teams for support when necessary.
- Conduct network capacity planning and bandwidth management to accommodate future growth and changing business needs.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate network infrastructure with cloud services, storage systems, and other IT components.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking and recommend their adoption.
- Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior network engineers.
- Manage, monitor, maintain, and secure networks and tenant network segments that support the transport of networks and data.
- Organize, document, and manage delivery of network load‑balancing services.
- Document and manage IP addresses.
Minimum Requirements
- U.S. citizenship without dual citizenship to another country.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Seven (7)+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a related role.
- On‑site position at a government facility; presence required in Annapolis Junction, MD, five days a week.
- Residency within a commutable distance.
- Participation in a rotational on‑call schedule for emergency page‑outs.
- Five (5) or more years of experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco FirePOWER, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Avaya PoE Switches, F5 LTM and GTM load balancers, KEMP load balancers, Juniper SRX firewall, Extreme Network IPS, ION SAL Modem SA5610, Raritan Secure Console Server, Avocent KVM Switch, Red Seal Appliance SYS‑1027R‑WRF4+, Safe Net 7000, Avaya Media Gateway G450, IBM Data Power XML firewall, Solar Winds NPM/SAM/IPAM/Netflow, IBM Netcool.

Pay Transparency
Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with job duties and experience. Total compensation may include short‑ and long‑term incentives and program‑specific awards. Health insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off are also provided.
