Software Engineer- Computer Vision and Deep Learning

MatrixSpec Solutions is seeking a full-time Software Engineer – Computer Vision and Deep Learning focused on image processing, machine learning, and deep learning. The candidate will work with our multidisciplinary research and development team to assist in developing innovative solutions that have a concrete impact on agri-food industry applications. The successful candidate combines a solid technical background with strong programming skills to develop tools and algorithms for image data analysis while also being self-motivated to solve challenging problems in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and extract features of hyperspectral images for further data analysis
• Implement image processing algorithms and ML/DL methods in Matlab, Python, and C++.
• Contribute to image processing algorithm development for denoising, enhancement, segmentation, object tracking of hyperspectral images.
• Assist in research and experiments to solve problems related to hyperspectral image classification.
• Analyze and validate algorithm performance on new datasets.
• Organize and maintain large volume database.
• Collaborate with different team members to improve and develop our systems.
• Present the work and findings (written reports and oral presentations).

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field specializing in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms.
• Excellent candidates with Master's degree of a minimum of 3 years' experience can be considered.
• Strong technical background in image processing and computer vision, machine learning and deep learning, with knowledge in hyperspectral imaging preferable.
• Excellent programming skills in Matlab, Python, C++. Working experience with software version control and deep learning frameworks like Pytorch is required.
• Excellent software design (OOP, Algorithms, and Data Structures).
• Experience in parallel programming and working with high-volume data.
• Good written & verbal communication skills (in English).
• Self-motivated, problem-solving mindset.
• Fast learner who enjoys learning new technologies.
• Strong team player with result-oriented approach and high degree of self-motivation.
• Ability to manage time effectively according to aggressive project schedules and quickly adapt to new project requirements.
• Ability to work with agreed timelines and report on progress as and when due.
• Should be able to take initiative but also follow a plan and work well as part of a team.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
