- Manage game-day and practice operations, including the setup, breakdown, and organization of fields, sidelines, and sports-specific equipment (goals, nets, fences, benches, etc.);
- Review practice and game schedules to ensure contests start on time and proactively request operational resources (such as traffic control or extra field-setting support);
- Serve as a visible, professional, and approachable on-site representative of the school; welcome visiting teams, officials, and renters, and maintain positive relationships with neighbors;
- Monitor field, facility, and equipment conditions to ensure a safe, high-quality playing environment; communicate needs for repairs or replacements as necessary;
- Ensure the appropriate gate and door schedule is set for the fields;
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of all Barrett Fields facilities and outdoor spaces, including routine turf inspection/grooming, debris removal, and litter cleanup;
- Coordinate with vendors for periodic turf maintenance, sanitation, and repair services;
- Assist with logistics and site management for school and community events hosted on the field;
- Assist with field lining, seasonal setup changes, and equipment rotation.
Athletic Department Support (Non-Peak and Supplemental Hours)
- Organize, stock, and maintain athletic storage spaces across both campuses, improving systems for inventory tracking and equipment access;
- Assist with distribution, collection, and seasonal turnover of athletic equipment;
- Support field setup needs for off-season training and summer programs;
- Support practice and event preparation needs across teams as assigned;
- Provide general organizational support to improve efficiency within the Athletic Department.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent presence during after-school athletic hours, especially in peak seasons;
- Adapt to shifting daily priorities in support of the Athletic Department;
- Collaborate closely with coaches and athletic staff to meet program needs.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards related to field maintenance and materials;
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, usage, and any incidents;
- Respond to occasional after-hours emergencies such as fire, flooding, severe weather (including but not limited to snow and ice removal), power outage, etc.

- 3+ years of experience in athletic operations, event support, or a similar role;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to create and maintain systems;
- Experience in a school or youth athletics environment preferred;
- Ability to lift, move, and set up athletic equipment and work outdoors in varying conditions;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to remain flexible and responsive in a dynamic, event-driven environment;
- Availability for afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends during athletic seasons.
