As a Junior Illustration & 2D Animator at Maple Learning Solutions, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging visuals, illustrations, and animations to enhance interactive training modules and digital learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating illustrations, 2D animations, and graphics based on storyboards and project briefs
- Supporting storyboard visualization and asset development
- Collaborating with instructional designers and team members
- Revising designs based on feedback and maintaining consistency in style and branding
- Contributing to creating engaging and interactive learning experiences
To excel in this role, you should have basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Animate. Additionally, you should have an understanding of 2D animation principles, strong fundamentals in graphic design, and familiarity with AI design tools. Nice-to-have skills include exposure to Lottie animations, Figma, or Procreate, as well as an interest or basic experience in e-learning or educational content design.
When applying, you are required to submit 24 samples of illustration and/or animation work, which can include academic, freelance, or personal projects. Including process work (from sketch to final output) in your portfolio is a bonus.
