Software Developer (Snowflake & PowerBI)

Our client, a leading organization in data management and analytics, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be instrumental in designing innovative data solutions, optimizing data warehousing processes, and creating impactful reports and dashboards that drive strategic decision-making. Job Title: Senior Software Developer (Snowflake & PowerBI)

Location:Owings Mills, MD

Pay Range: $57-61/hr depending on years of Experience

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and optimize data models and pipelines within Snowflake to support business needs.
• Create complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned transformations to ensure efficient data processing.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, utilizing Snowflake as a primary data source.
• Develop semantic models and enhance data for reporting performance and accuracy.
• Support or migrate legacy BusinessObjects reports to Power BI, ensuring seamless transition and functionality.

What's Needed?

• At least 5 years of experience in software development or data engineering roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Advanced SQL skills with a proven ability to write complex queries and stored procedures.
• Strong experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects reporting tools and legacy report migration processes.
