Job Description
Our client, in the logistics field, is seeking a Class 5 Driver to join their team.
Job Title: Class 5 Driver/Courier
Location: Mississauga, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 5:00pm (This is a fixed shift which requires full availability Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $18-$22/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
What’s the Job?
- Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
- Assist in the facility as needed at each stop
- Maintain and monitor trailer temperature from departure to arrival to always preserve ambient temperature
- Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete the truck inspection log daily with samsara fleet
What’s Needed?
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License for at least 3 years required
- Over the age of 25 years (to meet company insurance requirements)
- Ability to provide a clear driver's abstract and proof of clear criminal history
- 2-3 years experience as a driver/ parcel delivery required
- Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Geographical knowledge of Mississauga and surrounding areas
