About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time Meta Ads Specialist to own the day-to-day setup, optimization, and reporting for our clients’ paid social campaigns across Facebook and Instagram. You’ll work alongside our creative team to turn our reels and static assets into performing ad campaigns that drive leads, traffic, and brand growth.
This is a part-time contract role with flexible hours. You’ll work independently on execution while collaborating closely with our Operations Manager and Account Coordinators on strategy and creative briefs.
What You’ll DoCampaign Management
- Build and launch Meta ad campaigns across awareness, traffic, engagement, and lead generation objectives
- Set up campaign structures, ad sets, audiences, placements, and budgets aligned to each client’s goals
- Build and maintain custom audiences, lookalikes, retargeting pools, and exclusion lists
- Install and troubleshoot Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and event tracking
- Manage Business Manager access, ad accounts, page roles, and asset permissions
Optimization
- Monitor active campaigns daily and adjust bids, budgets, and audiences to hit performance targets
- Run A/B tests on creative, copy, and audiences
- Flag creative fatigue and request refreshes from the creative team
- Maintain consistent cost-per-result against client benchmarks
Creative Collaboration
- Brief the creative team on ad-specific requirements such as hooks, formats, aspect ratios, and CTAs
- Review draft ad creative and copy for compliance, performance best practices, and legal risk
- Catch typos, duplicate headlines, and copy variation issues before launch
Reporting & Client Communication
- Build monthly client reports covering spend, results, cost-per-result, and key learnings
- Translate performance data into plain-language insights for clients and the account team
- Recommend next-month strategy adjustments based on results
- Join client calls when needed and respond to ad-related questions routed through the Account Manager
What You BringRequired
- 3+ years hands-on experience managing Meta ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram
- Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, Business Manager, and Events Manager
- Working knowledge of Meta Pixel setup, Conversions API, and event tracking
- Familiarity with short-form video as an ad format
- Experience with lead generation campaigns (instant forms and on-site conversions)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate performance data into action
- Clear written communication for internal briefs and client-facing reports
- Reliable availability during BC business hours for daily campaign checks
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Nice to Have
- Experience running ads for trades, construction, real estate, or local service businesses
- Meta Blueprint certification
- Experience with Google Ads, TikTok Ads, or LinkedIn Ads
Compensation & Structure
We pay a flat monthly rate per client account managed:
$500 CAD per account, per month
For any work that falls outside the standard monthly retainer scope (additional campaigns, new ad accounts, major restructures, or out-of-cycle creative refreshes), we establish an hourly rate with the successful candidate at the start of the engagement and quote that work separately. To start, the role covers 1 client account, with the opportunity to scale to 3–5 accounts over time based on fit and performance.
Scope per Client (Monthly Retainer Covers)
- 1–2 active campaigns
- Daily campaign monitoring and optimization
- Creative refresh approximately every 6 weeks
- 1 monthly performance report
- 1 client call per month if needed
- Slack and email responsiveness during BC business hours
