Job Description
As a Sales Manager at MIBL, your primary responsibility will be to drive direct sales and business acquisition across Large Corporate and SME segments by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and providing customized insurance solutions. You will play a crucial role in expanding MIBL's corporate portfolio through end-to-end direct selling, client onboarding, and long-term account development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive direct sales and acquisition of Large Corporate and SME clients in assigned geographies and industries.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, client meetings, referrals, and market mapping.
- Engage with CXOs, finance heads, risk managers, and decision-makers to understand client insurance and risk management needs.
- Achieve assigned revenue goals, recent business targets, and portfolio growth objectives.
Client Engagement & Solution Offering:
- Present MIBL's suite of insurance solutions, including Property, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Employee Benefits, and Specialty Lines.
- Design customized insurance programs aligned with client risk profiles and business needs.
- Coordinate with internal underwriting, placement, and operations teams to ensure timely quotations and seamless onboarding.
SME Segment Handling:
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of SME clients through direct interaction and local market outreach.
- Educate SME clients on coverage options, risk mitigation, and compliance-related insurance requirements.
- Ensure consistent engagement to convert leads into long-term accounts.
Relationship Management & Retention Support:
- Develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
- Support renewals in coordination with servicing teams, ensuring client satisfaction and portfolio retention.
- Act as a brand ambassador for MIBL in the corporate and SME market.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Track industry trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate MIS, sales pipeline updates, and activity reports as per organizational requirements.
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and internal compliance standards.
