Policy Advisor for Environmental Assessments

Support sustainable development as a Policy Advisor in environmental assessments. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to develop transparent and effective environmental policies in Northern Canada.

In this position, you will assist in the creation and review of environmental assessment procedures, ensuring regulatory processes are met. Your role involves collaboration and independent work, offering expert advice and support on various environmental files while participating in essential meetings and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in development of assessment policies and procedures
• Conduct thorough environmental policy research
• Advise on environmental assessment files
• Review regulations and land use plans
• Participate in regulatory forums and workshops

Requirements

• Degree in Resource Management or equivalent experience
• Understanding of environmental assessment processes
• Strong research and writing capabilities
• Independent and collaborative work skills
• Experience with quasi-judicial bodies is valuable
