Responsibilities
migration related activities
managing critical operations, such as backup strategies (relating to AWS Cloud, not just on-premise environments)
Monitor and do the housekeeping for app servers
Manage resource of system
Support any deployment
documentation
Support patching processes
Monitoring / performance analysis / Trouble shooting / Support in any application issues that has DB impact, etc.
Mandatory Skills Description:
Cloud & AWS:
AWS RDS (MySQL) - Must Have
AWS CloudWatch - Must Have
AWS Redshift - Must Have (or similar)
Performance Optimization:
Query pattern analysis - Must Have
Schema design optimization - Must Have
Indexing strategies - Must Have
Resolution of performance bottlenecks - Must Have
Monitoring & Alerting Tools:
AWS CloudWatch - Must Have
Database Performance Monitoring solutions - Must Have
SQL Sentry, xMatters, SolarWinds - Acceptable with similar
