Home Support Worker/ Homecare Aide

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in their private homes. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily needs, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Duties

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring
• Support individuals with disabilities, dementia, or hospice needs through personalized care plans
• Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
• Help with light physical activities or exercises to promote mobility and well-being
• Document care provided and report any changes in condition to healthcare professionals or supervisors
• Assist with transportation to appointments or activities as needed
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements

• Prior experience in home care, or senior care is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility support safely
• Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion and patience
• Basic understanding of medication administration and meal preparation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
• Certification or training in caregiving or related fields
• Ideal Candidate must have a vehicle
• Must have a European background (preferably Italian or from Slovenia)
