Duty Security Officer

Role & responsibilities

Security Management

• Supervise day-to-day security operations at residential, commercial, and construction sites.
• Control access to ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols to prevent theft, unauthorized entry, or security breaches.
• Safeguard company assets, construction materials, and machinery.

Construction Site Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of PPE by workers.
• Monitor entry of contractors, vendors, and visitors on sites.
• Report unsafe practices or hazards to Site Management or Safety Officers.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to maintain security without obstructing operations.

Incident Response & Reporting

• Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, theft, or security breaches.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and submit reports to management.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire safety teams, or medical assistance when needed.

Team Supervision

• Supervise and guide security staff deployed across multiple sites.
• Conduct briefings, allocate duties, and monitor performance.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and operational discipline.

Monitoring & Technology Use

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security and incident reports.
• Recommend improvements to security protocols for residential and construction areas.

Customer & Stakeholder Interaction

• Assist residents, visitors, employees, and contractors while maintaining security protocols.
• Professionally address security-related complaints or concerns.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum High School / Diploma; preference for candidates with security or law enforcement training.
• 10+ years of experience in security management, preferably in real estate, residential, commercial, or construction environments.
• Knowledge of safety standards, construction hazards, and emergency response procedures.

• Physically fit to patrol residential areas and construction sites.

Work Schedule

• Shift-based, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Flexibility to move between residential, commercial, and construction sites as required.
• Must be available to provide support at any other time of day as per company requirements.

Small Arms related skills

• Demonstrated understanding of small arms (types, handling, safety protocols and tactical employment) and their appropriate operational use.
• Preferably ex‑military or paramilitary with formal training and field experience.
• Proven ability to assess team members small‑arms skills and to deploy personnel optimally for security operations including VIP protection—based on experience, qualifications, and operational needs.
