Job Description

The Technical Support Specialist serves as a technical problem-solver and troubleshooter for the district whose duties include support for the District’s Student Information System (SIS). The Specialist provides maintenance of the District’s computer systems by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and is a member of the internal IT Help Desk.

Tasks include:

  • Coordinates and appropriately routes help desk calls and support tickets.
  • Provides basic troubleshooting and support of mobile and virtual devices, and Windows systems
  • Performs computer system maintenance and minor repairs, and coordinates work as needed with authorized vendor repair centers.
  • Deploys, manages and tracks Chromebook devices through the Google and GoGuardian dashboards.
  • Deploys Operating System images and software packages using Microsoft Systems Management Center (SCCM).
  • Maintains a small parts inventory (extra cables, cords, connectors, etc.) involving the minor repair of instructional equipment.
  • Evaluates new releases or enhancements, and identifies and diagnoses problems with the District SIS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.17 - $26.23 per hour
