Suburban Ford of Romeo is seeking an experienced Windshield / Auto Glass Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality repairs and installations while providing world-class customer service to our valued customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Install windshields and automotive glass in our shop and through a mobile service unit
• Repair rock chips and other minor glass damage
• Perform automotive window tint installations, including side windows, rear glass, and windshields (where permitted)
• Prepare glass surfaces by thoroughly cleaning and removing contaminants prior to glass or tint installation
• Remove and replace existing glass or window tint when required
• Cut, shape, and apply window tint film using proper tools and techniques to ensure a high-quality, bubble-free finish
• Calibrate advanced vehicle electronics and safety systems, including ADAS, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and similar technologies
• Ensure all glass and tint work meets dealership quality standards and state/local regulations
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, adhesion, and appearance
• Process payments from mobile service customers (if applicable)
• Interact professionally with customers to explain services, care instructions, and answer questions
• Maintain a professional appearance, clean work area, and positive attitude
• Deliver World Class customer service to customers and vendors at all times

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ year of automotive glass installation experience
• 2+ year of automotive window tinting experience (certification or formal training a plus)
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass an MVR check
• Proficiency working with multiple types of automotive glass
• Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and work ethic
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Comfortable with the physical demands of the job

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ year of automotive glass installation experience
• Experience working with multiple types of automotive glass
• Experience with window tinting
• Strong working knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
• Comfortable with the physical demands of the job
• Dependable, professional, and customer-oriented

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to maneuver safely around vehicles during installations
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, grasping, pulling, and turning
• Ability to work for extended periods of time
• Willingness to work in hot and cold weather conditions as needed
