We are seeking a Digital PR & Outreach Specialist who can elevate our brand visibility, strengthen referral relationships, and build authoritative digital presence while maintaining strict compliance with healthcare marketing standards.

Position Overview:

The Digital PR & Outreach Specialist will lead strategic digital public relations, placement acquisition, and partnership outreach efforts to expand our online authority and community footprint. This role requires a strong understanding of SEO, media relations, healthcare compliance, and relationship-driven outreach.

You will collaborate closely with the SEO, content, admissions, and leadership teams to position our treatment center as a trusted authority in addiction recovery across Los Angeles and nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Digital PR & Media Outreach

  • Develop and execute digital PR campaigns to secure high-quality media placements and backlinks
  • Pitch expert commentary, data stories, and thought leadership content to journalists, podcasts, and industry publications
  • Build relationships with local and national media outlets covering healthcare, mental health, addiction, and wellness
  • Monitor media opportunities such as Featured.com and other journalist request platforms

Strategic Outreach & Partnerships

  • Identify and secure partnerships with healthcare providers, therapists, sober living homes, nonprofits, and community organizations
  • Conduct ethical outreach to relevant directories, professional associations, and recovery resources
  • Strengthen referral networks within Los Angeles and Southern California
  • Coordinate co-marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts

SEO & Authority Building

  • Collaborate with the SEO team to acquire high-authority, relevant backlinks
  • Identify broken link and resource page opportunities within the behavioral health space
  • Support content-driven link building campaigns
  • Track domain authority growth, referral traffic, and keyword impact

Reputation & Brand Management

  • Monitor online brand mentions and coordinate responses where appropriate
  • Support review acquisition strategies in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Protect brand reputation through proactive communication strategies

Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure all outreach and PR efforts comply with HIPAA, FTC, and healthcare marketing regulations
  • Maintain ethical standards in relationship building and representation

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in digital PR, link building, outreach, or media relations
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and backlink strategy
  • Excellent written communication and pitching skills
  • Experience building relationships with journalists and industry professionals
  • Ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns simultaneously
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, BuzzStream, or similar

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, addiction treatment, or mental health marketing
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance in marketing communications
  • Local knowledge of Los Angeles healthcare and community landscape
  • Existing media relationships in health or wellness sectors
