A fast-paced national media team is seeking a highly driven Videographer / Field Producer / Editor who thrives under pressure and wants to be where the action is. From daily press briefings to major national moments, you’ll play a key role in capturing and producing content that captivates audiences across the country.
This role goes beyond shooting and editing—you will also act as a field producer and directly assist a White House correspondent with daily activities, helping ensure smooth, high-level coverage inside one of the most fast-paced news environments in the world.

Responsibilities
- Film and produce engaging video content covering White House events and news - including press briefings, stakeouts and live events.
- Edit raw footage into polished segments for broadcast and online distribution, meeting quality standards.
- Manage equipment - set up and operate camera for live news hits for a White House correspondent.
- Produce and edit broadcast-quality video packages under tight deadlines.
- Capture clean audio and ensure proper lighting in fast-moving environments.
- Format and edit content for social media platforms, including short-form and viral video.
- Act as a field producer, assisting with logistics, coordination, and execution of daily coverage.
- Serve as an assistant to the correspondent, supporting day-to-day activities and helping get critical tasks done efficiently within the White House environment.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate breaking news coverage.
- Stay current on political news and trends to inform coverage decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a videographer, field producer, or video editor (news or political coverage preferred)
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar).
- Working knowledge of various social media formats and viral content production
- Ability to move quickly, think on your feet, and adapt in a breaking news environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in the Washington, D.C. area
- Must be open to a trial period
- Strong self-starter who is quick on their feet and attentive to the environment and details.

- Experience or willingness to learn booking guests
- Experience or willingness to learn letter writing and outreach
- Experience or willingness to learn script writing for broadcast or digital media
- A degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field
