Job Description
We are looking for a NJ licensed Acupuncturist to work with a team of healthcare providers offering multiple different modalities of health and wellness.
Part Time: Independent contractor.
Pay: Independent contractor.
The primary focus of this position is to provide acupuncture services to a variety of patients who suffer from conditions that are amenable to treatment with this modality.
Record patients' case history details, conduct physical examinations, create individualized treatment plans and rehabilitative protocols for patients.
Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to locate, identify and use acupuncture points according to function. Incorporate other treatment methods including acupressure, heating, e-stim, essential oils, ear seeds, nutritional counseling, energy healing, etc. Evaluates treatment outcomes.
Verify medical records including the providers orders for integrated medicine, which may include acupuncture, review patient medical file for contraindications/precautions for treatment.
Works with each patient to develop a treatment plan and strategy based on their diagnoses individual needs
Observes and assesses patient for any unexpected or undesirable physical/emotional reactions.
Educate and recommend purchase of appropriate vitamins and supplementation.
Knowledge in nutrition, vitamins/supplements, deficiencies, gut health, heavy metal toxins, etc - Necessary tests and treatment protocols.
Works as a member of a multi-disciplinary wellness team which offers a variety of integrative medical services, including: Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Podiatry, Internal and Alternative Medicine (blood work, wellness exams, vitamin injections, vitamin IV therapy, TRT, aesthetics, etc.)
Maintain/Gain knowledge about each service/modality offered at our center and identify patient necessity for inner office referrals to optimize patient outcome.
Works primarily with our current and new Lifestyle Wellness patients; a plus if brings in own.
Maintain HIPAA compliant confidentiality standards at all times.
