About the Role

Through a variety of activities, provides clients with pre-and-post placement support to assure successful long-term employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with client and community contacts to maximize employment potential.
• Assists clients with learning procedures for employment and developing appropriate co-worker/supervisory relationships.
• Provides client with Job Development, Placement and Retention goal information along with benefits of employment.
• Works with clients and referring sources in setting attainable employment goals.
• Evaluates and interprets vocational potential via referral information, medical and psychological background to assist with recommending placements, vocational needs, employment potential, and to assist with sustaining long term employment.
• Conducts group activities, i. e. job club, job interviews, etc.
• Works in cooperation with vocational staff and clients to assure that employment needs are met by proper matching of clients with jobs/employers to assure successful employment; performs follow-up activities to ensure employment longevity.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience: 1-3 years experience with job placement, recruitment or workforce development
