Summary

Bridging Life Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide to join our Carroll Home Team This vital role supports terminally ill patients and their families with high-quality, holistic care. Under the supervision of an RN, the Hospice Aide ensures comfort, dignity, and support throughout the end-of-life process while working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

  • Responsibilities
  • Obtain and accurately document patient data and vital signs in accordance with hospice policies while monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing team.
  • Provide compassionate direct patient care and emotional support, ensuring patient privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout the hospice experience, including end-of-life care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as ambulation, transfers, bathing, grooming, and personal care while promoting safety and independence.
  • Perform supportive clinical duties including decubitus care, routine catheter care, emergency interventions, infection control, and adherence to hospice safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment while supporting environmental services, food service duties, cost containment efforts, supply management, and efficient time utilization.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with patient assignments, participate in staff training and ongoing education, attend team meetings, and represent Carroll Hospice through community outreach and liaison activities.

Qualifications

  • Maryland Board of Nursing CNA license required
  • AHA BLS Provider Card required
