Job Description LeverageTek is actively seeking a Data Platform Administrator (Cloud Admin) for a 2-year term position with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location Hybrid Ottawa - 2x week onsite Clearance Eligible for Enhanced Reliability Key Tasks Data & Analytics Platform Administrator will administer, monitor, and maintain the organization's data platform and its underlying cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency. The administrator manages Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, capacities, and workspace configurations while enforcing governance policies and security controls.

They administer Power BI at the tenant level, including workspace governance, gateway management, capacity monitoring, row-level and object-level security, content sharing policies, and usage analytics reporting. The administrator performs database administration tasks including backup/restore operations, index maintenance, query performance tuning, RBAC permissions management, health monitoring, and high availability/disaster recovery procedures. They administer Azure data platform resources including Azure VMs with SQL Server, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Azure Integration Services components (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid).

The administrator configures and manages Microsoft Purview accounts, data governance policies, classification rules, sensitivity labels, data scanning processes, and data catalog features across the organization's data estate. They maintain comprehensive documentation including runbooks, standard operating procedures, and architecture diagrams, manage platform-related work items and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and collaborate with the analytics team, integration developers, and stakeholders to ensure platform reliability and alignment with organizational governance standards. Key Qualifications Hands-on experience with tenant/workspace management, Lakehouses, data pipelines, governance, security, and DAX troubleshooting in Microsoft Fabric & Power BI.

Skilled in data governance, classification, scanning, cataloging, and lineage using Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance and data quality. DBA skills with cloud focus, supporting databases, performance monitoring, and platform integration in Azure. Qualifications SQL Server (advanced SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, backup/restore, RBAC) SSIS, SSRS, SSMS Azure SQL (Managed Instances, Azure SQL Database) Azure Data Resources Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid/Hubs) PowerShell scripting for automation and administration Infrastructure as code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform) Version control (Git) and Azure DevOps CI/CD Monitoring and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) Cloud data platform administration and governance Business intelligence platform administration and reporting Database administration (installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, high availability) Data governance, classification, and compliance frameworks Cloud infrastructure management and cost optimization Integration services and data pipeline administration Identity and access management, security best practices Infrastructure as code and automated provisioning CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field AND several years of experience in Cloud systems design, implementation, management and support Salary: $94580.00 - $111320.00 CAD Per Year This is an existing position vacancy
