About the Role
Leo Kopelow Design Studio is seeking a junior to early-mid UX designer (0–3 years experience) to support hands-on UX visualization, interaction design, and prototyping work for early-stage and innovation-driven teams.
This is a part-time hourly contract position. You will not only produce interface work, but gain exposure to early-phase innovation process and methods. Projects often begin before visuals are defined, so you will see how product direction is shaped from first principles through iterative refinement.
About the company
The studio is currently a one-person practice led by a senior product and UX design leader who has held leadership roles at IDEO and co-founded an internationally awarded design consultancy. The work has spanned technology, consumer products, healthcare, and social impact sectors, supporting early-stage and mission-driven teams across North America. The studio primarily serves U.S.-based clients, with a strong focus on early-stage founders and product teams in Silicon Valley.
The studio operates as a lean, high-quality practice focused on thoughtful, execution-driven product work. It is now looking to supplement the practice with a junior designer who can help increase output while maintaining a high standard of craft.

Responsibilities
- Translate UX direction into clear, well-structured interface designs
- Build clean, interactive prototypes in Figma
- Support refinement of flows and interaction details
- Contribute to design system organization
- Prepare presentation-ready mockups
This is a production-oriented role. Strong craft is essential.
Qualifications
Required:
- 0–3 years experience in UX, product design, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, prototyping)
- Solid typography and layout fundamentals
- High attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and execute precisely
