Job Purpose

Layam Group is looking to hire a highly experienced Learning & Development professional to lead capability-building initiatives across the organization. The role requires a seasoned trainer with strong expertise in training needs analysis, program design, facilitation, leadership development, behavioral training, trainer development, and learning impact measurement.

The ideal candidate should be able to design and deliver scalable learning interventions for internal teams, client-facing teams, recruiters, managers, leaders, and operational workforce segments. The person should also be able to align learning strategy with business goals, improve employee effectiveness, and build a strong learning culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Learning Strategy and Capability Building

  • Develop and implement the overall L&D strategy aligned with Layam Group’s business growth plans.
  • Build structured learning frameworks for recruiters, staffing teams, operations teams, branch teams, leaders, and support functions.
  • Identify skill gaps across functions and create role-based capability-building roadmaps.
  • Design competency development journeys for frontline employees, middle management, and leadership teams.

2. Training Needs Analysis

  • Conduct learning needs analysis across businesses, branches, and client-facing teams.
  • Work with business heads, HR teams, and functional leaders to understand capability gaps and performance issues.
  • Convert business requirements into practical training plans with measurable outcomes.

3. Program Design and Content Development

  • Design training modules, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, assessment tools, and reinforcement plans.
  • Create behavioral, managerial, communication, leadership, service excellence, and functional capability programs.
  • Build blended learning journeys using classroom, virtual, on-the-job, and digital learning methods.
  • Develop induction and onboarding learning content for new employees and deployed workforce segments.

4. Facilitation and Delivery

  • Deliver high-impact training programs for employees across levels.
  • Facilitate workshops on communication, people management, accountability, leadership, team effectiveness, client handling, and professional behavior.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer programs to build internal trainer capability.
  • Support branch and operations teams with regular training interventions to improve effectiveness and consistency.

5. Organizational Development and Change Enablement

  • Drive OD initiatives that improve team collaboration, trust, accountability, and work culture.
  • Support leadership in change management, employee engagement, and people development initiatives.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to strengthen performance culture through learning interventions.

6. Learning Measurement and Effectiveness

  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, behavioral tracking, and business impact.
  • Build learning dashboards and evaluation mechanisms using models such as Kirkpatrick.
  • Track training ROI, completion, participation, and performance improvement metrics.
  • Continuously improve programs based on feedback and outcomes.

7. Stakeholder and Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted L&D partner to internal leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external trainers, consultants, and vendors whenever required.
  • Support client-facing training initiatives where Layam may need to demonstrate training capability as part of service delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 15 to 25 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, facilitation, organizational development, or capability building.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering behavioral, leadership, and managerial programs at scale.
  • Experience working across manufacturing, staffing, retail, service, automotive, or similar sectors will be preferred.
  • Prior exposure to training large employee populations and multi-location teams is highly desirable.
  • Experience in mentoring trainers and building internal learning capability is preferred. The benchmark profile shared has trained 20,000+ people, mentored 100+ trainers, and led large-scale learning programs across industries.

Educational Qualification

  • MBA / MSW / Postgraduate qualification in HR, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field.
  • Certification in Training / Facilitation / ISTD / OD / Coaching will be an added advantage.
