Position Overview:
Laureate College is seeking a talented and creative Visual Arts Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will inspire students through dynamic and engaging on-line instruction in visual arts. This job is offered as a service contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in visual arts that align with Laureate College's curriculum.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills in a supportive environment.
- Prepare teaching materials and incorporate a variety of artistic techniques and mediums into lessons.
- Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to promote growth.
- Foster an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment that celebrates creativity and self-expression.
- Participate in school events, exhibitions, and initiatives to showcase student achievements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or equivalent qualifications (preferred).
- Experience teaching visual arts to diverse age groups, preferably in a school setting.
- Proficiency in various artistic techniques, including painting, drawing, sculpture, or digital art.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for the arts.
Compensation
- Rate: 50 CAD/hour
- Contract Type: Service contract
