Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform energy simulations in compliance with ASHRAE / ECBC standards / Green Building Guidelines – LEED, GRIHA, IGBC.
- Develop energy models for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings using Design Builder / IES / e-Quest software.
- Analyse building performance data and provide energy efficiency recommendations.
- Assist project teams in designing energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various design parameters on energy performance.
- Evaluate and document HVAC system performance, lighting, and envelope characteristics.
- Work with architects, MEP engineers, and sustainability teams to optimize energy consumption.
- Support documentation and submission of energy models for green building certifications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in energy modelling techniques and standards.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 6 - 10 years of experience in energy simulation, building performance analysis, and energy efficiency consulting.
- Expertise in energy modelling software such as Design Builder, IES-VE, eQUEST.
- Professional Green Building accreditations such as LEED AP, WELL AP, IGBC AP, GRIHA CP, BEE Energy Auditors are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, LEED energy modelling guidelines, IGBC & GRIHA rating systems.
- Familiarity with MEP systems, HVAC design, and building envelope optimization.
- Ability to interpret energy simulation results and provide practical recommendations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
