We are seeking a self-driven, detail oriented CAD Technologist capable of producing Interior Design/ Architectural construction working drawings and details for large scale hospitality projects, with minimum 3 years demonstrated professional experience in similar position. This is a full time, in person/office, position located in Toronto, Ontario.
As an AutoCAD technician, you will:
- Create & file detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Autocad and Revit from design sketches, conceptual drawings or existing similar drawings into easily understood construction technical drawings for use by interior designers, architects, contractors, millworkers
- Utilize CAD software to develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, including sections, elevations, assembly diagrams, millwork and interior design details, based on design specifications, conceptual drawings and sketches provided by designers and architects.
- Create 3D models as required for complex designs, allowing for virtual analysis and visualization of projects (Revit, enscape, sketchup preferred)
- Produce accurate and to-scale technical drawings, ensuring proper annotations, dimensions, and material specifications. Ability to prepare full set of construction working drawings for Interior design purposes.
- Work with design team to problem-solve design and fabrication challenges
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of drawings produced
- Work collaboratively with design and procurement team to ensure a quality end product as per specifications
- Assist with material take-offs as required
- Conduct on-site surveys and measurements to accurately capture project details when necessary
- Work quickly to meet aggressive deadlines
- Office duties

Qualifications
- Post secondary education in a design field preferred (i.e. Interior Design, architecture, architectural technology) and/or certification in Autocad and/or Revit
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position within this same Hospitality Design industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Experience using Enscape preferred
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English
- Capable of handling multiple projects (drawings) at any given time
- Be self-directed and highly motivated
- Is able to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
